Attain supported the South East London (SEL) ICS Covid-19 response, and was recommissioned to provide continued support to Primary Care. This was based on NHS Long Term Plan strategic priorities, and the SEL Recovery Framework to meet the health needs of the population of SEL.

What We did

  • Our team supported and engaged the ICS, CCG (and boroughs), Federations and all 35 PCNs / 198 practices fostering collaborative working as a vehicle to share best practice, establishing a Recovery Planning Cell, creating recovery plans (including themes, gaps, content), promoting wellbeing resources, delivering analytic support for weekly primary care situation reporting (local and national reporting) and weekly borough update reports – ensuring system-level coordination, oversight and consistency.

  • We embedded BAU working founded from pandemic developments combined with identification and amplification of pockets of best practice, sharing them regionally.  These included processes around triage, virtual consultations, workforce models, and clinically effective models for LTC management.

  • This detailed management and analytical support provided early and timely insights into operational issues and leveraged patient engagement / experience to identify best examples of pandemic innovation to reflect in recovery plans.

  • Attain undertook the programme to aide in primary care pandemic recovery for the system – facilitating a range of workshops and deep dives on lessons-learned and taking forward future best practice.
