Attain was commissioned by Rotherham Place ICP to:

  • Develop and deliver a PMO that would coordinate and assure the delivery of a large portfolio of digital projects, across a broad range of partners in Rotherham-place.
  • Support partners in maintaining a focus on delivering the Rotherham Place Digital Strategy and ensure ongoing alignment with the emerging digital strategy across South Yorkshire ICS.
  • Provide project management expertise to the Robotic Process Automation (RPA) pilots within Primary Care.
  • Develop a costed plan for all digital project delivery ambitions across Rotherham Place for the next 3 years.

What We did

  • Having successfully established the PMO framework in phase 1, we worked closely with Place partners to review and refine the local reporting requirements in phase 2.

  • Attain provided embedded, hands-on programme management expertise to project leads, helping to coordinate delivery across the Place partners.

  • For RPA, we acted as the main point of contact and coordination between the supplier and local GP practices, ensuring the relevant IG and baseline metrics/monitoring were in place for the pilot projects.

  • We coordinated a two-phase process over several months to capture current and future project cost information, in a format that was required by the ICS.

Outcomes

  • Improved project visibility across Rotherham, ensuring risks and issues were managed promptly and opportunities for collaboration and shared learning were capitalised on.

  • Reduced the administrative burden on Place partners by collecting management information once and processing efficiently.

  • Three RPA pilots are now in varying stages of mobilisation and delivery, with benefits monitoring in place to inform wider-scale roll-outs.

  • Rotherham were able to provide a detailed and comprehensive Place-wide digital costed plan to the ICS, in readiness for system-wide operational planning.
