On their first 30 days with Attain

Tell us a little bit about yourself

I’m a medical doctor by background, with several years of experience in emergency medicine and general practice. Over time, I found myself drawn to the bigger picture – how we design, deliver, and improve healthcare systems. That’s what led me to consulting: I bring clinical insight into service transformation, especially when it comes to frontline delivery.

How have your first 30 days been at Attain?

It’s been a real learning curve – but in a good way. I’ve felt welcomed and supported, and I’ve already had the chance to get stuck into some meaningful work. The balance of structured onboarding and on-the-job learning has been spot-on, and I’ve really appreciated how generous people are with their time and expertise.

What attracted you to Attain?

Attain stood out to me because of its reputation for delivering high-impact, values-led work across the NHS. I wanted to be part of a team that understands both the complexity of healthcare and the practical steps needed to drive improvement. The opportunity to use my clinical thinking while building consulting capability was exactly the kind of challenge I was looking for.

What’s the best thing about being employed with Attain?

For me, it’s the people. Everyone here is driven but grounded, collaborative, and genuinely committed to improving health and care. There’s also a refreshing level of trust and autonomy – you’re encouraged to take ownership early on, but you’re never on your own.

What do you hope the future brings for you with Attain?

I’d like to deepen my skills in project delivery and service transformation, especially around workforce, urgent care, and occupational health. Longer term, I want to lead programmes that make a measurable difference to how services are commissioned and delivered. I’m excited to keep learning and growing here – and to contribute to Attain’s impact on the ground.
