Tell us a little bit about yourself
I’m a senior strategic transformation and change leader with significant experience across the NHS and wider health and care sector. As a Registered Mental Health Nurse and Chartered Fellow of the Chartered Institute for People Development, I offer a rare combination of clinical credibility, people professional expertise, operational insight, and strategic transformation capability.
My journey within the NHS began more than 17 years ago as a Healthcare Assistant in mental health services. Although my roles and settings have evolved over the years, my “why” remains the same: I care deeply about people and supporting services and those who work within them to deliver the highest standards of care.
Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with friends and family, volunteering with my local Explorer Scout group, and planning my next adventure abroad.
How have your first 30 days been at Attain?
My first 30 days have been fantastic. I’ve felt very welcomed and supported throughout the recruitment and onboarding process, which has made settling into Attain really easy. I’ve also been impressed by how Attain’s value-led culture is reflected across the organisation. There’s a genuine sense that people care about doing rigorous, impactful work that makes a difference for patients, staff and communities, which has made it an exciting place to start.
What attracted you to Attain?
It’s really the values. I’d worked alongside Attain several years ago, and what stayed with me was the kindness of the people and the quality of the work they delivered. As a clinician coming from the NHS, values are incredibly important to me and were one of the key factors I considered when exploring a new direction in my career. Attain stood out as an organisation where strong values and high-quality work go hand in hand.
What’s the best thing about being employed with Attain?
By far the best thing has been the people. Everyone I’ve met has been welcoming, warm, and willing to share their knowledge and experience. There’s a genuine openness in how people work together, alongside a shared commitment to making a positive difference. Even after a short space of time, it’s clear that Attain is a place where people support one another, challenge constructively, and bring out the best in each other.
What do you hope the future brings for you with Attain?
I’m excited about the future and the opportunities to continue developing and growing within Attain. I’m looking forward to bringing my experience to complex system challenges, developing further as a consultant, and being part of work that makes a real and lasting impact for patients, staff and communities.
