Tell us a little bit about yourself

Prior to joining Attain, I worked in the NHS, beginning my career on the NHS Graduate Management Training Scheme. I then spent five years delivering a wide range of digital and operational projects whilst working for an NHS Commissioning Support Unit. I have really enjoyed the variety and breadth of my career so far, and the opportunity to support meaningful and lasting transformation across a variety of NHS organisations.

Outside of work, I enjoy hiking in the Peak District, attending gym classes, reading, and going to lots of gigs.

How have your first 30 days been at Attain?

My first 30 days have been incredibly positive and full of opportunities to learn and develop within a supportive and friendly environment. Attain has a comprehensive induction programme, with a great mix of training and internal meetings, which has helped me build a strong understanding of the organisation and ways of working.

I was also fortunate to start around the time of a couple of in-person team events, which meant I was able to meet most of the team face-to-face within my first month. Everyone has been so welcoming, supportive, and generous with their time, and I feel very lucky to be part of the team.

What attracted you to Attain?

My experience with Attain actually started a few years ago, when I completed a flexi-placement with the organisation as part of the NHS Graduate Management Training Scheme. At the time, I was struck by how knowledgeable, friendly, welcoming, and experienced the team was. When the opportunity arose to apply to join Attain permanently, I jumped at the chance.

One of the things that particularly appealed to me was the values-based culture at Attain. The importance of the values is evident in the work Attain delivers, and the way colleagues work together and support one another. It’s clear that Attain is committed to delivering sustainable change that makes a genuine difference to healthcare services and the people who use them, and that’s personally really important to me.

What’s the best thing about being employed with Attain?

Definitely the people. From my induction on day one to colleagues proactively arranging introductory calls and supporting me on project work, everyone has gone out of their way to make me feel welcome. Everyone in the team is approachable and supportive, and no question ever feels too small.

What do you hope the future brings for you with Attain?

I’m looking forward to continuing to develop my skills and experience, working alongside NHS teams to improve services and outcomes for patients, and contributing to meaningful, positive change across a range of healthcare services. I’m excited by the opportunity to learn from such an experienced team whilst helping to deliver projects that make a tangible difference.
