Tell us a little bit about yourself
My name is Luiz Calderoni, and I joined Attain five months ago. My background is in health economics and operational research. I’m originally from Brazil and moved to the UK two years ago. Prior to joining Attain, I worked for 11 years in Medical Devices companies, developing new business with technologies for several medical specialities.
How have your first few months been at Attain?
Working for Attain has been beyond my expectations. Since the initial conversations I had with the HR team, when I was still a candidate, I realised there was something different. The people-centred way of doing things played a crucial role in keeping me feeling calm and confident, allowing me to present my strengths and openly discuss the points for personal development. After I started, my initial observations were confirmed and left me with no doubt that it is a one-of-a-kind organisation that makes me proud to be part of. On top of this, I found a fast-pacing organisation with brilliant and experienced professionals that are at the same time supportive and challenging.
What attracted you to Attain?
Attain attracted me due to its positioning in the market as a solution provider in healthcare that is dedicated to helping organisations of different sizes and complexities levels to tackle real problems. As such, Attain combines the rigour of evidence-based policymaking and the practicality needed in health delivery projects. And for me, it sounds just perfect as I’ve chosen these frameworks in my educational track. In other words, I believe Attain is the most fertile soil I could find to put into practice what I have learned.

What do you hope the future brings for you with Attain?
For the future, I expect to be enrolled in projects of increasing complexity as a natural consequence of the experience gained. And where the modelling and simulations techniques I love are required and applied to bring solutions to the clients.
