Delivering significant savings by creating a regional procurement model
West Yorkshire Association of Acute Trusts
Attain supported WYAAT, a collaboration of six acute NHS Trusts across West Yorkshire, to develop and deliver a regional procurement model that drove efficiency, standardisation, and shared value across the system.
Working closely with procurement, clinical and medical director colleagues, Attain helped establish a regional approach to product evaluation, governance and supply chain management. This ensured decisions were evidence-based, benefits maximised, and savings realised through aggregated demand and consistent product use.
The activities we delivered were as follows:
Designed and embedded a regional procurement structure and governance
Facilitated clinical and operational engagement across six Trusts
Delivered regional price benchmarking and contract consolidation
Developed shared work plans to align procurement and efficiency priorities across Yorkshire
Attain’s leadership and coordination helped align our regional procurement approach, bringing together teams and suppliers to deliver real savings and better value across West Yorkshire.
