Objectives
Attain worked with Chelsea & Westminster, Royal Brompton & Harefield and Imperial College hospitals to facilitate and design a model of care, develop a business case and support engagement with wider partners.
As part of this, we;
Developed a map of specialised paediatric provision in primary to tertiary care in north west London
Developed a model of care options for specialised paediatric service provision, the case for change, the implementation plan and financial model
What we did
We provided the following support:
Co-designed clinical and operational service models with 25 key stakeholders, clinical professionals, finance staff and Trust Board members
Reviewed 30 specialised paediatric services: 3 different paediatric critical care units and 150 acute paediatric hospital beds
Our impact
Our results included;
Provided cost savings of c.40% by Year 2 of 3-year transformation plan to deliver a single service
Provided understanding of how to optimise service provision, including relocation, consolidation or transformation of individual services
Improved patient experience through standardised streamlined pathways and more services on one site and consolidation and strengthening of small activity services
