Tell us a little bit about yourself

Prior to joining Attain I worked as a diagnostic radiographer for over six years in both the NHS and private sector. In my various roles I recognised the importance of making patients feel valued with the short amount of time available and the impact these interactions can have. I worked on service redesign and quality improvement projects within my various roles.

In 2019, I became the youngest person to study on the Executive health economics, policy and management MSc programme at the London School of Economics and with only my dissertation to complete, I hope to graduate in 2022.

Outside of work, I am a full-time foodie and I love to immerse myself in different cultures. You could say I have the travel bug, having visited over 25 countries.

How have your first few months been at Attain?

The first few months working for Attain have been a great learning experience. The transition from clinical to consulting has been challenging in the most exciting way. I was not resourced on to a project straight away, but was able to help colleagues with various projects. This allowed me to interact and build relationships with various clients and colleagues and really be immersed into the world of Attain.

I was assigned a buddy for the first six months who was always on hand to support and I have had weekly virtual coffee meetings to get to know other colleagues I had not yet met.  Having now been on a project for several months, there is a perfect balance that has been struck between working from home and visiting client sites and having that face-to-face interaction again with colleagues.

What attracted you to Attain?

Having done my research about Attain, I reached out to their HR team and what I noticed first was that their team were true to their values. I resonated deeply with wanting to work for a company that didn’t put profit over people and wanted to make real impact to the patient experience in healthcare. I was able to speak to members of the company and get real insights about what it would be like to work for them and they haven’t disappointed.

What’s the best thing about being employed with Attain?

The feeling of not just working for a company, but being a part of a community that cares about the work they are doing and want each other to succeed. They continually ensure they are doing what is best for their clients and have a diverse range of projects. Working from home can be amazing or challenging, depending on your outlook, but Attain have employed a range of methods to ensure that we all still feel and are connected even when you do not see colleagues every day.

What do you hope the future brings for you with Attain?

For the future, I hope to continue to grow with the company. I enjoy the varied work and hope to continue improving on existing skills and learning new ones, so that ultimately I can keep contributing to service improvement and putting patients at the heart of what we do.
