On their first 30 days with Attain

Tell us a little bit about yourself

I am a registered clinical pharmacist and qualified independent prescriber, with service management and project delivery experience across three London Trusts. In my last role at a tertiary cancer centre, I led the team responsible for delivering clinical pharmacy services to the antimicrobial, critical care and surgery departments and supported the implementation of digital healthcare tools, including EPIC electronic prescribing record.

How have your first 30 days been at Attain?

The first weeks were dedicated to my induction and preparing me for my first project to ensure I was able to hit the ground running. I met all the team at company meetings and felt truly welcomed, with everyone eager to make sure I felt supported. Soon after joining, I started working in an embedded role within a large NHS system – this meant I could develop client relationships with my NHS team, while continuing to hone my consultancy skills under the guidance of my Attain colleagues. I can already see the impact my work is having and am looking forward to what we will achieve over the coming months.

What attracted you to Attain?

When working in the NHS, I gained job satisfaction from knowing I was helping to achieve better outcomes for patients. When I first heard about Attain, I thought joining the company would be a great opportunity to continue doing so whilst developing my knowledge of working in other NHS settings across the UK. I now feel like I am growing as a professional whilst maintaining my original mission.

What’s the best thing about being employed with Attain?

Working at Attain has turned out to be so much more than I expected. The projects we are undertaking are wide-reaching and my Attain colleagues have a wealth of experience, which they are always happy to share. I am making more impact than I thought possible and throughout the organisation it is clear everyone embodies the Attain company values.

What do you hope the future brings for you with Attain?

I hope to continue to see the positive impact my work is having on achieving better outcomes for patients. I am enjoying developing my knowledge of working in other NHS settings across the UK and look forward to building on this in future projects.
