Cariad Burgess on her first 30 days at Attain

Tell us a little bit about yourself

I have worked in public sector healthcare for many years. My love and admiration of the NHS attracted me to the many dynamic roles, particularly within Acute Hospitals.

I later transitioned into private sector healthcare and before I joined Attain I graduated in Business Management and Finance BSc (Hons).

How have your first 30 days been at Attain?

My first 30 days have flown by. The induction process provided two weeks of training and integration and this was very helpful as joining a new company can feel daunting. This provided a great opportunity to meet colleagues and to gain a greater understanding as to how Attain works through their values. Everyone within the company has been so welcoming and this support has continued as part of the Commercial Team I am embedded in.

What attracted you to Attain?

I am well aware of healthcare consultant agencies within the private sector who do not prioritise the values and moral standards that are so ingrained within the system. When Attain came to my attention it was amazing to find a company that demonstrates the same values and standards that I passionately believe in and that benefits the NHS.

This has been further solidified through meeting Attain colleagues who all demonstrate the same passion and apply their expertise to benefit the organisation and customers.

What’s the best thing about being employed with Attain?

My colleagues have been incredibly welcoming and the whole team are approachable and knowledgeable, offering genuine support and guidance. Attain has a unique culture where specialised people come together to help one another, and this openness and willing to share knowledge has resulted in brilliant work being produced that delivers meaningful change to improve NHS services.

What do you hope the future brings for you with Attain?

I hope to continue to grow within Attain by challenging myself with the diverse nature and scope of projects that we undertake and to apply my knowledge and experience that continues to deliver successful procurements. I would like to gain new skills and capabilities, so that I can deliver the best results not only for Attain but for the NHS.
